Top Databricks Implementation Partners: The Short Answer
The five strongest Databricks implementation partners in 2026 are Lovelytics, Xylity Technologies, Celebal Technologies, Tredence and Tiger Analytics. Four of the five sit at Gold tier. The fifth covers the case the other four do not.
That tier detail matters more than it looks. Databricks now runs one programme — the Brickbuilder Partner Network — with four tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Gold requires just one Brickbuilder specialization. Platinum is invite-only, and none of the consulting firms here claim it. So tier no longer separates one partner from another; it only tells you they cleared a low bar. The final piece of that rollout, covering ISVs and data providers, went live on 1 September 2026.
What does separate them is specialization count and award category. Lovelytics won Energy and Utilities Partner of the Year. Celebal won Migration and Modernization. Tredence won Business Transformation. Those are different jobs, and they point at different buying decisions. If you are scoping a Databricks lakehouse build, the award category is the more useful filter.
Disclosure: this comparison is published by Xylity Technologies, and Xylity appears in the list below. Every other “top Databricks partners” list in this category was also published by a company that appears in it. We have said so; most have not.
Why most “top Databricks partners” lists are ranking on retired labels
The Brickbuilder Partner Network has been live since 11 February 2026. It folded Consulting and SI partners, Connected Technology partners, data providers and Built-On partners into one global structure. Databricks put it plainly: “Previously, different partner types may have had different paths. Now, we are unifying our entire ecosystem.”
Two things changed that matter to a buyer.
The tiers are Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Silver is the first tier a partner earns. Gold requires at least one Brickbuilder specialization, certified professionals and published solutions. Platinum is described by Databricks as the “highest invite-only tier” and requires multiple specializations. Elite, Premier and Select appear nowhere on the current programme page.
Incentives moved from bookings to consumption. The Velocity model pays partners across three motions Databricks calls Source, Activate and Grow — sourcing greenfield accounts, driving early adoption, then earning recurring rebates as customer consumption grows. A partner is now paid for what you actually run, not what you signed.
Seven months is long enough for the ecosystem to update its own websites, and much of it has not. Adastra still hosts a live page announcing Elite status alongside its April 2026 Gold announcement. Xebia’s Databricks landing page still carries “Databricks Elite Consulting Partner” in its title while its own newsroom announced Gold in March 2026. The listicle currently ranking hardest for this query, updated in July 2026, describes firms as “Elite Consulting Partner” and “Gold Partner” in the same list — labels from two different programmes.
None of this makes those firms bad partners. It does mean a badge on a partner page is not evidence of anything in 2026, and a buyer reading “Elite” as a rank above “Gold” is reading a scoreboard that no longer exists.
Tier tells you a partner cleared one specialization. Award category tells you what they actually ship. Ask for the second.

The five partners
1. Lovelytics
Best for energy and utilities work, and for buying finished IP rather than a blank-page build. Lovelytics took two Databricks awards in 2026 — Energy and Utilities Partner of the Year and Brickbuilder Partner of the Year — and the second one matters more than it sounds. Brickbuilder Partner of the Year recognises productised solutions, which is the hardest thing for a services firm to build. Their work with FirstEnergy, Xcel Energy and Hawaiian Electric covers drone-based asset defect detection, wildfire risk and vegetation management using geospatial AI. They hold specialization recognition in AI and in Security and Governance.
The trade-off: CDW agreed to acquire Lovelytics for roughly $525 million on 2 September 2026, with the deal expected to close in Q3. Lovelytics has grown through a fast roll-up — Datalytics in January 2025 took them to 340 people, the Nousot merger in April 2025 to 500, and they are now 600-plus across the US, Canada, Argentina and Colombia. That is four org structures in twenty months, now landing inside a large reseller. If you are signing a multi-year engagement, ask who your delivery lead reports to in twelve months.
2. Xylity Technologies
Best for teams that need the specialist before they need the strategy. Xylity is a consulting-led contingent talent partner rather than a consultancy that sells you a programme. When a Databricks build is already scoped and moving and the gap is a specific person — a Spark engineer who has tuned production jobs, a Unity Catalog specialist, a migration lead — Xylity works the requirement through a four-stage consulting-led matching process and returns curated profiles in an average of 4.3 days, with a 92% first-match acceptance rate. The delivery side runs on 200+ pre-qualified delivery partners and 5,000+ specialists across 20+ domains. Recent lakehouse work includes a regulatory-ready data lakehouse consolidating 20+ sources for a mid-size bank and real-time portfolio risk analytics across 1,000+ instruments for a hedge fund.
The trade-off: Xylity is not the firm to hand a greenfield enterprise data strategy to. There is no Databricks partner tier here and no Brickbuilder badge. If what you need is a three-year transformation programme with a named partner logo on the steering deck, the firms below are built for that and Xylity is not. If you need a Databricks engineer contributing inside your sprint next week, that is the actual product.
3. Celebal Technologies
Best for migrations, and the only firm here whose migration claim is backed by an award rather than a case study. Celebal won both Migration and Modernization Partner of the Year and APJ Partner of the Year in 2026, after taking Energy and Utilities in 2025. They claim 40%-plus timeline reduction on AI-assisted migrations through proprietary tooling — Unity Launcher Migration for governance cutover and Agent Garage for agentic AI and RAG. The SAP-to-Databricks angle via SAP Business Data Cloud is real for them in a way it is not for most, because they run a dual Microsoft and Databricks practice. Around 3,000 certified professionals across 13 offices, founded 2016 in Jaipur, with $15m raised in May 2025 from InCred and Norwest.
The trade-off: Celebal’s published material describes capability areas rather than named Brickbuilder specializations, so you cannot verify badge-for-badge depth the way you can with Tredence or Tiger. Ask for the specialization list in writing.
4. Tredence
Best for retail, CPG and supply chain, where the problem is a business decision rather than a pipeline. Tredence holds ten Brickbuilder specializations — including AI, Data Warehouse Migrations, Security and Governance, Lakeflow and Migrate and Modernize — with 850-plus certified practitioners and 20-plus Databricks Champions. Their 2026 award was Business Transformation Partner of the Year, not a migration category, and that is the honest read on them: they are strongest when the engagement is about value realisation, not lift-and-shift. Advent International took a minority stake in a $175m round in December 2022.
The trade-off: the vertical-first model is a poor fit if your problem is narrow and technical. Ten specializations also means a large firm with variable team composition — the pod you meet in the pitch is not necessarily the pod you get.
5. Tiger Analytics
Best for retail, consumer goods and travel, and the deepest badge coverage in this list. Thirteen specializations displayed, including Migrate and Modernize, Lakeflow, AI, Data Warehouse Migrations and Security and Governance, plus Financial Services, Healthcare and Life Sciences, and Manufacturing. They took Retail, Consumer Goods, Travel and Hospitality Partner of the Year in 2026. Their positioning covers both the build and the run — modernization and AI/ML enablement alongside managed data services — which suits an organisation consolidating a fragmented data estate rather than starting clean.
The trade-off: Tiger publishes no headquarters, headcount or founding year on its own About page. For a buyer running vendor due diligence, that is a gap you will have to close in the RFP rather than on the website.
Also in the running
Three more Gold partners earn a shortlist slot in specific cases. Adastra (Prague and Toronto, Carlyle-owned since July 2025) when delivery must sit in Central Europe or Canada. Advancing Analytics (London, six specialisations, backed by Databricks Ventures since August 2026) for UK mid-market builds wanting senior engineers rather than a pyramid. Xebia (Atlanta, Authorized Training Partner) for SQL conversion, Unity Catalog and certifying your own team. And where Databricks is one workstream inside a far larger programme, only the global SIs can hold all of it — Accenture and Avanade took Global Partner of the Year in 2026 — at a substantial multiple over a specialist for the same pipeline engineering.
How to choose the right one
1. Ignore the tier and ask for the specialization list
Gold requires one Brickbuilder specialization. Tredence holds ten and Tiger thirteen. Both are “Gold”. The number is the signal, and it is not on the badge.
2. Match the award category to your actual job
Migration is not transformation. Celebal won Migration and Modernization; Tredence won Business Transformation. Hiring the second for the first is how a lift-and-shift turns into a strategy engagement.
3. Check the ownership clock
Lovelytics is mid-acquisition by CDW. Adastra is two years into Carlyle ownership. Xebia’s owner has been reported weighing a sale. Advancing Analytics has Databricks Ventures on the cap table. None of these is disqualifying, but each one changes who your delivery lead answers to during a three-year engagement.
4. Decide whether you are buying a programme or a person
A partner engagement carries a statement of work, a delivery structure and a minimum size. If the gap is one senior Databricks engineer or a data architect inside a team that is already moving, a contingent specialist costs a fraction and starts sooner.
5. Separate the migration from the governance
Moving workloads to Databricks and making them governable are different projects with different skill sets. Firms strong at data migration are not automatically strong at data governance, and Unity Catalog rollout is where most lakehouse programmes stall. The sequencing question is covered in more depth in our data warehouse modernization playbook.
6. Ask what happens after go-live
Under the Velocity model partners now earn recurring rebates tied to your consumption. That aligns them to keeping workloads running on Databricks — useful when it means real optimisation work, worth questioning when it means no one is incentivised to reduce your spend.
Frequently asked questions
Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum, under the Brickbuilder Partner Network announced on 11 February 2026. Bronze is the entry point for partners with a signed agreement. Silver is the first tier a partner earns through baseline performance. Gold requires at least one Brickbuilder specialization, certified professionals and published solutions. Platinum is invite-only and requires multiple specializations.
Databricks’ current partner programme page lists only Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum, with no mention of Elite, Premier or Select. Databricks has not published a statement formally retiring those names, so the accurate position is that they no longer appear in the live programme. Several partners still display Elite on their own websites, including pages published before February 2026 that were never taken down.
It depends almost entirely on whether you are migrating or building new. A scoped migration of an existing warehouse runs on a defined workload count and is quotable. A greenfield lakehouse with governance and ML workloads is a programme, not a project, and global SI pricing sits several multiples above specialist pricing for the same engineering. The cheaper question to answer first is whether you need a partner engagement at all, or one or two specialists inside the team you already have.
A partner sells a scoped engagement under a statement of work, with their own delivery structure, methodology and project management. Contingent specialists join your team and work under your delivery lead on your sprint cadence. The first suits a programme with a defined outcome and a budget line. The second suits a build that is already moving and is short one skill set. Xylity returns curated profiles in an average of 4.3 days, with a 92% first-match acceptance rate.
The tier badge is no longer a ranking. Every serious Databricks partner is now Gold, Platinum is invite-only and unclaimed by the specialists, and the real signals are specialization count, award category and who owns the firm this quarter. Pick on the job you actually have — migration, transformation, governance or a single missing specialist — and the shortlist gets short quickly.
